Getting Hot Already

"In the space of a few days this Spring, our weather went from frost cold (killing back all my potatoes) to high eighties to extremely high winds gusting to over 65 MPH. Texas weather is a constant test of endurance and a challenge to maintain a garden in. We usually leave the state and head for the mountains in August. I don't think we'll be gone as long as we were last summer, though, and we can't go anywhere in July because HOPEFULLY I hope I'll have bushels of tomatoes, beans and corn to put up - if it all doesn't burn up or blow away."
