Waiting for Rain

20 inches by 24 inches, collage, framed with salvaged barn wood

Created from bits of torn paper adhered over an acrylic under-painting on wood panel; finished with two coats of UV protective varnish and framed without glass in order to showcase the wonderful texture created from the many layers of thick and thin papers.

Giclees are printed onto high quality watercolor paper, backed with foam core, boxed and shipped flat via FedEx Ground. They are created on demand and require 10 business days for delivery.

Artist Commentary:

"My father always told me that when cows lay down, that means it's going to rain. He grew up in the city, suburb of Boston, MA, but he spent a summer or two on his uncle's farm. This is where he learned to drive a stick shift (tractor) and not to aggravate a bull, AND that when the cows lay down, that means it's going to rain."
