Robert Saueressig
Robert H. Saueressig graduated from the College of Visual Arts, St. Paul, MN, in 1963. After a tour in the Navy, he started a career as a graphic design artist. He continued to become an art director of several magazines and advertising agencies, in addition to being an art instructor at several local colleges. In 2000, he became a full time artist and presently paints from his southern Indiana studio.
Over the many years of his career as a professional artist, Robert’s art has evolved to meet his spiritual as well as aesthetic needs. For him, it is a vehicle to help achieve the restoration of balance so vital to this natural world. The images Robert creates speak of his connectedness to the land and its many coexisting dwellers. His palette of natural colors translates everyday images into the tranquil scenes he creates so skillfully. This serenity is the essence of what we instinctively enjoy to surround ourselves with, bringing more harmony into our life. Robert’s art has been shown at a number of art exhibits, art fairs, and galleries from Montana to North Carolina, and hangs in private collections from North America to Europe and as far away as Mongolia.
